We love when a fairytale comes true. But if that
tale turns out to be reality- what then?

Skyjland -1- First Encounter
|
| September 1, 2009 |

|
By the hand at night, fantasy rules. True or not—don’t
let go of that hand.
|
It was late spring in the city, with warm, clear weather.
But there was this car driving down the street that just shouldn’t be there. Not on this street, and not in this area.
It was 2009, in a large city in the U.S., and people were looking. This part of town was considered no good and was dilapidated.
This car, however...

Skyjland -2- Making a Scene
|
| September 4, 2009 |

|
The power of the hand—a gun? In this game it’s
the eye that rules.
|
Tobias walked straight to the teacher’s desk and stood
in front of it, where he smiled at all the students. They stared back, silent and suspicious. For once the class was full;
everyone was there as if by accident. “Hello everyone! My name is Tobias Clark and I’m a magician.”
He put his paper bag...

|
At the end of a deal, what’ve you gained? If you aim
too high you may miss the target.
|
There was silence. The gun didn’t go off; there wasn’t
even a metallic click. Shaggy was trying harder to pull the trigger but it wouldn’t move. In fact nothing moved; the
gun seemed stuck in the air like the basketball. He didn’t know what to do except sweat. But he just couldn’t
announce his defeat by letting go of his gun, by leaving it to hang there in the air...

Skyjland -4- Sneery Departure
|
| September 18, 2009 |

|
The best illusion most often is no illusion at all. So who
is cheating whom?
|
Shaggy ran from Tobias’ show straight to the yard in
front of the school, where he stood waiting for his gang to catch up with him. He was angry and scared, which together meant
he needed to take control again. He needed to show that nobody could get away with humiliating him like that freak had. Shaggy
wasn’t sure...

Skyjland -5- Meeting the Team
|
| September 25, 2009 |

|
At a dead end, we don’t expect much. Unless it‘s
there that our journey starts?
|
It took about an hour to drive though town and a bit farther
out, into a middle-class suburb. Tobias drew up a long driveway to a large building to the side, bordering an open field.
He parked the car outside a garage door and turned off the engine. He and Patrick had been chatting all the way, and it was
the first time Patrick really had talked...

Skyjland -6- Prepare for Action
|
| October 2, 2009 |

|
A magic frog is more real than any unimaginable reality can
ever be.
|
Patrick had the best lunch he ever had eaten (for one thing,
there was enough food for everyone, although no one else seemed to think that was significant). During the meal his curiosity
about these people grew sky high. They were all very kind; that became obvious to him very quickly. They all used polite table
manners, even if...

Skyjland -7- Backward Scam
|
| October 9, 2009 |

|
Expectations, hopes, we all have. But only the sideline people
are those rewarded.
|
Tobias took Patrick a bit farther in the huge technical room
where the others had assembled around a small table, with a few here and there sitting on chairs and tables, standing, or
whatever. They all welcomed Tobias and Patrick to sit in with them, and Tobias moved over another small table for him and
Patrick to sit on. It was a joyful meeting according to their faces...

Skyjland -8- Entering the Nest
|
| October 16, 2009 |

|
What is the most important thing about carrying? Is it the
bag or its content?
|
Liam and Eve were welcomed by another man as they were let
in to Mr. Cantini’s very fancy, old-fashioned-looking night club. The man approaching them was very stylish in a black
tuxedo, crisp white shirt, and black shiny shoes. His hair was combed back, slim and shiny, and he was tall and muscular,
of course. Eve glanced...

|
Gambling, to win or lose, do we ever consider losing? If
we do, what’s the gain?
|
The tall, handsome, tuxedoed man nodded back at Mr. Cantini,
and it was obvious that he knew what to do. With his very polite manners he asked Liam and Eve to follow him. “Mr. Cantini
is very grateful for what you have done, finding his car, and he would like me to take you on a short tour to show you this—his
place—the best nightclub in town...

Skyjland -10- Posting Pictures
|
| October 30, 2009 |

|
Your target is what you aim at. If you miss, your target
must have been an illusion.
|
The tall, kind tuxedoed man did look rather pale while guiding
Liam and Eve out from the night club. He knew Mr. Cantini well and thus had no good hopes for Liam and Eve’s departure
out there on the street. At the point where he left them outside the entrance door, getting a last glimpse of their backs
before the door closed between them, he felt both relieved and sad...

When being stubborn doesn’t break it, being gentle
might open the wall instead.

Patrick woke late as Tobias let him sleep. The clock was
at half past nine, and Tobias had been up since seven making himself a small cup of coffee and reading a newspaper while waiting.
It was a happy Patrick who came into the kitchen to greet Tobias good morning. Tobias smiled and said, “You’ve
slept well, I presume,” looking up from his newspaper...

When analogue is out of the picture, the same picture
is still valid in digital.
|
After dinner both Patrick and Tobias settled themselves in
Tobias’s apartment, eagerly waiting for the late night show as were most of the others. Patrick, from the start, when
he got his TeeWee, had begun to explore it to try out its functions. Tobias happily assisted, setting it up up right. There
was no separate manual at hand; instead you just asked...

Skyjland -13- Getting Ready
|
| February 12, 2010 |

|
In a high tech world we look up to illusions and forget what
feeds us in the first place.
|
“What’s a master meeting?” Patrick asked. Tobias looked back at the TV screen for a while before he turned it off. “We can have a look at what happens
next, covering the whole day and night, tomorrow. There are some things about this you need to know.” Patrick
agreed by nodding back...

|
In fantasy our minds can blow us away. In reality you better
keep your hat on.
|
Tobias and Patrick had their breakfast while joyfully chatting.
Tobias still didn’t reveal much of what could be expected—“Wait and see,” was the tone of the day.
“You won’t believe me anyway,” Tobias said. Patrick had a hard time sitting still, so he helped Tobias wash
up after breakfast to try to speed up things. Tobias enjoyed this and added some bits and pieces...

|
Home is a location, where we live. But to find it we
need to search within ourselves.
|
There… Patrick almost lost his breath. In the middle
of widespread ice and mountains, as far as the eye could see, a valley spread out green, from one high end of the mountain
range to the sea and farther, to end in a mass of ice meeting the horizon. The valley stretched for more than two hundred
miles from the highest mountain to the shore and about fifty miles out in sea...

Skyjland -16- Late Night News
|
| March 5, 2010 |

|
In a square world we can get stuck in the corners, unable
to change. It’s there we suffocate.
|
Dennis and Jack were quick into bed, having enjoyed an exiting
day meeting Patrick. Nina then joined Tobias and Patrick out on the balcony where she was given Patrick’s letter. She
was as surprised as Tobias that Mr. Green himself took this initiative. “Mr. Green is fair, Patrick. You don’t
need to worry,” Nina said...

Skyjland -17- Class Starts
|
| March 12, 2010 |

|
Children see things as they are—their reality can sometimes
be more real than adults’.
|
Dennis and Jack were quick out of bed that morning, eager
to get the day started and go to school. They had news to tell, that they’d gotten a new big brother named Patrick,
and they could hardly wait. They didn’t hesitate to wake Patrick up for breakfast by bounding into his room while it
was still dark, turning on his light and bouncing on his bed...

Skyjland -18- The Color of Green
|
| March 26, 2010 |

|
In a forest we can see the trees, but we never look for the
magic that made them.
|
As Mr. Green turned to Tobias, Nina automatically joined
in at Tobias’ side, with Patrick standing at the other. “Hello, Tobias.” When Mr. Green greeted him,
everyone nearby turned toward them, creating an empty space around them as if they were on a stage. Tobias almost jumped;
he hadn’t forgotten...

Light is energy, something we see. But what is darkness,
nothing?
|
In the center of the field and thirty feet in the air, a
soccer ball slowly, dramatically materialized as if from nowhere. About half of the players assembled under the ball, it dropped
to them, and the game started. The middle fielders kept up a high tempo and intensity when one on one, very much like
Patrick was used to watching on TV. But...

Skyjland -20- Summer Ends
|
| April 9, 2010 |

|
Light that you don’t see isn’t necessarily dark;
children see that light differently.
|
On Sunday they all took a trip to the lake below the White
City walls. They took a worm there and carried well-packed swimming and picnic gear. The beach around the lake’s fresh
water was crystal clear and warmed to a comfortable bathing temperature, Tobias explained, by small streams tapped upstream
from the cold river passing through, like a quarry with warm stones...
